Writing Errors/Help:

- "Getting an A on an English Paper." Extremely helpful site for students. Takes them step-by-step in the writing process with examples and helpful hints.

-This site will help students in general with the writing process- includes errors and examples of those errors. Good examples of writing are included. It is geared toward research-based papers more although can be used/changed into a guide for personal writing as well.

-Papers: Expectations, Guidelines, Advice, and Grading (Jeannine DeLombard and Dan White, Univ. of Toronto) — Eminently reasonable and extremely helpful advice for writers of college-level English papers.

-Common Errors in English. Listed alphabetically- contains MANY errors!

-SUNY Geneseo Online Writing Guide (Paul Schacht and Celia Easton) — A useful collection of advice. Covers audience, organization, care and imagination, formal and informal writing, common errors, etc.

-Paradigm Online Writing Assistant: Guides to help in specific areas of the writing process- discovering, organizing, revising, and documenting. Also has example essays.

Grammar and Style:

-Guide to Grammar and Style: a Large collection of links to various sites found by Assistant Professor Jack Lynch at Rutgers University.

Citation Help:

-Columbia University Press’ Citation reference page.

-Citing the Internet and Other Electronic Resources (Binghamton Univ.)

Researching:
